Gas Insulated Ring Main Unit

The Gas Insulated Ring Main Unit (GRM) by GRENO (XIAMEN) SWITCHGEAR CO., LTD. is designed for the secondary distribution network at voltages of 11/17.5/24/36 kV. It is a completely sealed system with a stainless steel tank that houses all live parts and switching functions. The sealed steel tank ensures constant atmospheric conditions, providing a high level of reliability, personnel safety, and a virtually maintenance-free system.

The GRM offers two options for transformer protection: a switch-fuse combination or a circuit-breaker with a relay. Additionally, it can be supplied with an integrated remote control and monitoring unit for added convenience.

Switch Module

The switch module is a three-position switch disconnector and earthing switch that uses SF6 gas as an arc quenching medium. It can be set to close, open, or earthed positions. In the open position, the switch meets the disconnector requirements.

F Module

The switch-fuse module also has a three-position switch disconnector and earthing switch, similar to the switch module. It operates as a switch-fuse combination with the help of the fuse tripping device. The module features a double earthing switch that connects earth to both sides of the fuse-links simultaneously. The earthing switches are mechanically interlocked to prevent hazardous access to the fuse-links. The lower cover, which provides access to the fuse-links, is also mechanically interlocked with the earthing switch.

V Module

The vacuum circuit-breaker module utilizes vacuum bottles as interrupters of the current. It is connected in series with a three-position disconnector/earthing switch. The operation between the vacuum circuit-breaker and disconnector/earthing switch is mechanically interlocked.
